Photo of the Week: An eternity of flowers

A Palestinian father and daughter welcome the beginning of spring by picking wild mustard flowers in an untilled field in the Gaza Strip.

The field of flowers is endless — an affront to the siege Gaza has seen for too many years. The yellow is vibrant, almost neon — a stark contrast to the grey clouds that formed over crater holes in months past. Israel can try its hardest to squeeze the life out of this land, but nature always has a way.
