Chicago Joins the World in Protest

On Tuesday June 1, 2010, American Muslims for Palestine and the Free Gaza Movement called for an emergency demonstration to protest the killing of international activists aboard the Freedom Flotilla heading towards the Gaza Strip. After only 48 hours notice, over 1,500 people gathered in front of the Israeli Consulate in Downtown Chicago to voice out against oppression, injustice, and Israel’s latest lethal attack on pro-Palestinians.

After chanting for over an hour, a number of speakers were invited to make a few statements. The following video is of Sheikh Jamal Said, the Imam of the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, Illinois who gave the closing statements.
