Organizations

Hundreds of international, national, and local organizations all throughout the world are dedicated to restoring human rights and justice for the Palestinian people and seeking a resolute end to the occupation of Palestine. Take a minute to learn more about these organizations, their available resources, and their missions.

Palestinian Centre for Human Rights

Based in the Gaza Strip, PCHR works to restore Palestinian human rights and maintain the order of civil and humanitarian law “while promoting democratic culture within the Palestinian society”. The organization supports Palestinian “self-determination and independence in accordance with international Law and UN resolutions.”

B’Tselem

B’Tselem is the leading Israeli human rights group acting “primarily to change Israeli policy in the Occupied Territories and ensure that its government, which rules the Occupied Territories, protects the human rights of residents there and complies with its obligations under international law.”

BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights

This independent organization deals exclusively with the refugee crisis as well as the natural right of return. BADIL provides in-depth analyses of the growing movement to protect Palestinian rights and works very closely to a number of United Nations committees and task forces.

UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territory

OCHA oPt provides reports, statistics, and figures concerning the civil, geographic, economic, and humanitarian conditions of the Gaza Strip and West Bank.

Yesh Din

Yesh Din seeks to protect the fundamental human rights guaranteed to Palestinian civilians by holding accountable Israeli citizens and military forces for their violation of international and humanitarian law.

Gisha

This Israel-based organization advocates for Palestinian freedom of movement in the West Bank and specifically in the Gaza Strip.

Amnesty International

Amnesty is a prominent and internationally recognized organization dealing with human rights issues on a global level. Regarding the organization’s activity within the sphere of the occupation, Amnesty focuses much of its efforts on the illegal settlement projects.
